From around 1963, the TR-2051 is a funky design, with four thumb wheels! (Volume, tuning, band, and tone). It has beveled edges where the thumb wheels are.

Matsushita is the parent company of Panasonic. This radio was sold under the Matsushita name, Panasonic name, and the National Panasonic name. Matsushita Elec. did finally change their name to Panasonic in 2008
