This beauty is a portable battery powered tube radio from the 1940's. It was a precursor to the transistor radio. The design is what I call " retro cool " This particular radio is in extremely good condition for its age. Has black metal case with red plasticon top & bottom covers. Note the antenna is mounted inside the top cover. The face plate of this radio is reverse painted in gold and print. Tremendous looking tuning dial. They just don't go this far these days in the design of everyday products !
